Jean-Alexandre Véquaud (CEO) … a citizen of the world with a French passport, German roots, and company headquarters in Hong Kong, Jean has worked together with Chinese enterprises and partners since 1993.

Thanks to his comprehensive knowledge of both Chinese and European practices, and his highly developed social skills, he is an established expert for Sino-European negotiations.
He knows how to sense the needs of his clients, and to communicate them to the relevant partners in the two business worlds in such a way that they are implemented exactly as desired and are made-to-measure.
He uses a pragmatic spirit of partnership to solve any problems which may arise, providing on-the-spot solutions whenever possible.

As General Manager of a Hong Kong based company which specialized in the manufacturing of marketing publicity material – in addition to his "day job", Jean-Alexandre Véquaud set up a new subsidiary for top-quality, individualised packaging. He advised European customers on finding suitable manufacturers, supported local production, and monitored compliance with trade quotas and allocations between Asia and the EU.

Before that, he was active for 30 years as an independent entrepreneur in the international women's wear sector. In the mid-1990s he launched his own collection "Attitude" on the European market, and at the end of the 1990s he expanded to China. In 2007 he acquired over the primary supplier in Hong Kong and its production site in Dong Guan/China.

In parallel he supported an internationally oriented Chinese label in establishing a head office in Düsseldorf for the European mainland.

As consultant for a German premium gift article manufacturer, he optimised this company's brand management and transferred parts of the production from Europe to China and India.

His expertise, his network, and his many years' experience are now directed into his present company, The Sourcing Scout Ltd. based in Hong Kong.
